As a first-generation college student, I learned to capitalize on every experience and opportunity given to me. This past April, I was a participant in TFA’s RISE: Student Leadership Conference. Teach For America was impressed with my passion to reform the education system and asked me to write a article for them about my experience at RISE. In my article, I call for career and technology education programs to be made available to all students. My article made their Top Stories page and is used to recruit students to participate in RISE!
